Deepen your practice through intensive, special series classes

The perfect compliment to daily practice, intensive series classes provide expert instruction in technique, body mechanics, intent, breath, and more.

Classes include time for student questions.

Why Intensive Series Classes?

Master ZhiCheng often says that gaining skill in Taoist practice (whether qi gong, tai chi (taiji), meditation, etc.) requires "patient, persistent practice of the proper method over time."

Intensive series classes, fully online through Zoom, offer a chance for beginning students through advanced practitioners to improve their technique. Each sequence class (lasting from 4 - 12 weeks) involves verbal and visual instruction in technique, body mechanics, mind-intent, breathing patterns, and more, with ample time for student questions.

Upcoming Intensive Series Classes

It is recommended that students also attend at least one ongoing practice class per week of the intensive series subject (if available), to reinforce and apply the lessons presented in these series. Some series classes cover special topics not taught on the regular weekly schedule.

We typically run two series classes, both fully online / virtual over Zoom:

  • 90-minute Monday Morning Series (9 - 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time U.S.)

  • 75-minute Thursday Evening Series (6:30 - 7:45 p.m. Pacific Time U.S.)

Classes cover a range of topics, including: Eight Sections of Brocade (Ba Duan Jin), Qi Gong fundamentals, Five Animal Frolics Qi Gong (Wu Qin Xi, 五禽戲), Hunyuan Gong, Chansi Gong, Mind-Intent Boxing (Xin Yi Quan 心意拳), Postural Principles, and more.
