Taoist
Psychology Class

Instructor: Harrison Moretz
In this class on Taoist psychology we will systematically explore
the underlying patterns of qi and their expression in mental and emotional
states and interpersonal relationships, as well as methods to harmonize
and transcend these patterns as an integral part of Taoist spiritual
cultivation.
Taoist psychology traditionally falls within the broader category
of Yin Yang - Five Element studies. It employs terminology and maps
from Taoist, Buddhist and Confucian cultivation (the three teachings),
Chinese medicine, and the Yi Jing (Book of Changes).

Language Class: selected readings in Taoist Texts
Wednesdays

Class Dates: 5/16, 5/23, 5/30, 6/6, 6/13, 6/20, 6/27
Instructor: Harrison Moretz
This class will consist of readings from the Yang Zhen Ji,
a Taoist text comprised of essays exploring fundamental concepts
and terminology of Taoist cultivation. (Material will be complementary
to that presented in the Taoist psychology class). This class is
a continuation of the Chinese language series and requires either
completion of the previous classes in the series or permission by
the instructor.
