Chen
Style Xinyi Hunyuan Taiji Quan
The hallmarks of Chen Style
Taijiquan are variation in speed, alternating soft and explosive
movements, and a kind of spiraling movement known as chan si jin

Ba
Gua Zhang
Ba Gua Zhang, like Taiji Quan,
is comprised of a comprehensive system of internal martial arts
and meditative practices. Ba Gua Zhang is philosophically related
to the Yi Jing, or "Book of Changes". In its basic practice,
special stepping techniques are used to walk a circle, while various
coiling methods are used to change direction around the circle.
Ba Gua Zhang is as difficult to learn as it is beautiful.

Push
Hands
Push hands is a system of
two person exercises that develop "listening" ability
and continue to develop the internal energies cultivated in the
Taiji quan form. These skills, developed in the solo forms, are
expanded in push hands to include another person. Push hands is
the basic training for martial application in Taiji quan.

Alexander
Technique
The Alexander Technique is
a simple and practical method for improving ease and freedom of
movement, balance, support, flexibility, and coordination. Its principles
coincide with Taiji's first principle of "empty the neck so
the intrinsic energy can reach the top of the head." Practice
of this technique helps refine and heighten kinesthetic awareness.
This class is suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners
alike.
Wednesdays 10:00 -
