The snake is known for its cultivation of qi and the turtle for its longevity. This set is based on the movements and breathing of the snake and turtle. By imitating the slow long breathing of the turtle, and the flexibility of the snake, people can live long and well.
Grounded in softness and fluidity, Snake & Turtle Qigong emphasizes nourishing the whole person while healing their back. Cultivate strength through stability; flexibility through release; and vitality through circulation.
This 8-week series will introduce the movements of the set and allow time for practice.
Taught by Shoko Zama.
Class will be in-person at the Taoist Studies Institute in Seattle & online via Zoom.
