Paying for class
When do I pay?
Drop-in payments are due at the time of class.
Monthly passes must be paid in advance (e.g. pay on August 1 for classes the month of August). If you prefer to pay on the 15th of each month, that’s fine, just please pay in advance of taking classes.

In-person payments
Place payment in the silver box at the far side of TSI from the entrance. Make checks out to “TSI”. If paying cash, place in an envelope.
Include a note (on the check is fine) saying who and what the payment is for. E.g., “4 classes/week, member”, “1 class/wk, non-member” or “Chansi Gong deep-dive class” and your name.

Online payments
We prefer you pay by check to avoid bank fees, but if you prefer, you can pay online.
Pay for a single class, drop in here.
For a monthly pass, select “Class Selection”. There you will see options for how many classes per week you intend to take. E.g., “1 class member” means one class per week for someone with a TSI membership.
If you would like to become a TSI member and save on monthly tuition, see our membership page.

How do I pay for special sequence classes?
TSI regularly offers multi-week courses that provide a deeper dive into a specific subject. E.g., one of the qi gong sets, Taoist philosophy, etc. You can pay online through the link provided in the emailed class announcement or leave a check/cash in the box.
If you pay by check/cash, please also send an email to info[at]taoiststudiesinstitute.org saying what class you are registering for and that you placed payment in the box.

Attending class in person - do I need to register?
If you’re attending in-person, all you need to do is show up. Just make sure you pay for class (in person, by mail, or online).
Attending class online - how do I register?
After you’ve paid for class, you need to register in order to receive the Zoom link for online classes. Class registration links are found on the class schedule, grouped by time (morning or evening).
E.g., if you’re going to take the Saturday morning Hunyuan Gong class, click the “Registration for Saturday Morning” link after the list of Saturday morning classes on the schedule. Once you register (this registration is free; remember to pay for class separately), you will be emailed a link that is valid for all Saturday morning classes. Keep this link safe; you can use it for future classes in this timeslot - no need to re-register.

I have a question that's not answered here. Who do I ask?
Feel free to ask your question before or after class. Other students can be a great resource.
