Hunyuan Gong Workshop

 We will explore the principles and theory of the Hun Yuan Gong set.

Detailed instruction will be given breaking down the body mechanics of the movement, use of intent, and methods to make the practice more efficacious.

 Hun Yuan Gong is the most important of the Qigong methods in the Hun Yuan system.

This method gathers Qi from the environment and uses it to augment our prenatal Qi (our genetic inheritance).

To this end, the methods open the Qi-channels of the body and establish the Danqiao or Dantian, the energetic openings in the body where the qi, essence and spirit are cultivated.

Hun Yuan Gong promotes health, prolongs life, deepens stillness, and increases internal strength.

Spiral movement is the fundamental motion of the Universe.

 

Chansi jin, silk reeling energy is a core component of the hun yuan system.

In the first published book on Taiji Quan the author Chen Xin stated “太極拳,纏絲法也” “Taiji Quan is the Silk reeling method.”

In this workshop the relationship between gong, form and application will be explored with particular emphasis on helping each student find and develop Chansi energy in their own practice.
